Keyboards: Massimo Metalli
I was born about 50 years ago in Anzio near to Rome. I was started on piano studies at only 6 years old. In '74 the first band, with Ugo Cosentino, and with him i founded the "Estro" some years after. With Estro i got a lot of musical experience from Rock to Jazz Rock, from Fusion to Funk and to Progressive. I don’t play for living, but only for music passion’s, my job is Software Specialist. The first album i bought was "Thick as a brick" of Jethro Tull (when i was 13), but i grown up listening Emerson Lake & Palmer. I give ear to Genesis for the first time in 1975 with A Trick of The Tail and Selling England. I consider music of Genesis (until to Wind & Wuthering) the top expression of progressive and Keith Emerson the best keyboard player ever exists. My favourite Genesis Album are: Selling England, The Lamb and Foxtrot. My favourite band are: naturally Genesis, and ELP, YES, Queen I don’t like to play keyboard with sequenzer or computer, is glacial, I prefer to reduce the live arrangement but play really, without machine. To reproduce the Tony Banks atmosphere’s I use an Akay Sampler with original Mellotron sample, an Arp Prodgx Prosoloist, a Kork CX3 that for the moment result the best Hammond Emulator on market, and a Yamaha Piano. I also use other expander and keyboards just for support and optional sounds.
